Dental Implants

A permanent, natural-looking way to replace one tooth, several, or a full arch — placed and restored by a specialist Prosthodontist.

What it is

A replacement that starts at the root

A dental implant is a small titanium post that acts as an artificial tooth root. Once it fuses with your jawbone, it anchors a crown, bridge or denture that looks, feels and functions like a natural tooth.

Because it replaces the root, an implant also helps preserve the jawbone that would otherwise shrink after tooth loss — something no other tooth-replacement option does as well.

How a dental implant works

An implant is a titanium post placed in the jaw, topped by an abutment and a natural-looking crown.

The process

What to expect

1

Consultation & 3D planning

A full exam and CBCT scan map your bone and nerves so placement is precise.

2

Implant placement

The post is placed and integrates with the bone over a few months.

3

Restoration

A custom crown, bridge or denture is attached to complete your smile.

For extensive tooth loss

Full-arch options

When most or all teeth in an arch are missing, implant-supported full-arch restorations can replace a whole row of teeth on as few as four implants — far more stable than a traditional denture.

Questions

Frequently asked

How long do dental implants last?+

With good care, implants can last decades — often a lifetime. The crown on top may eventually need replacing.

Does getting an implant hurt?+

Placement is done under local anesthetic, and most patients report less discomfort than expected, easily managed afterward.

Am I a candidate for implants?+

Most healthy adults with enough bone are. If bone is thin, grafting can rebuild it — a consultation and 3D scan tell us for sure.

What do implants cost, and does insurance help?+

Cost depends on how many implants and whether grafting is needed. Many PPO plans cover part; we’ll give you a clear estimate and offer a membership plan and financing.

How long does the whole process take?+

From placement to the final tooth is usually about 3–6 months, allowing the implant to fuse with the bone. Some cases qualify for faster timelines.
