Founder of Deccan Dental and a Prosthodontist — a dental specialist with years of advanced training beyond dental school in restoring and replacing teeth, and a dental educator of more than 20 years.
A Prosthodontist is a dental specialist who focuses on the restoration and replacement of missing or damaged teeth. Beyond standard dental school, a Prosthodontist completes three to four additional years of advanced residency training, acting as an expert architect for complex oral health, function and cosmetic treatment.
Dr. Nanjapa founded Deccan Dental in 2011. Alongside private practice, he has been a dental educator for more than 20 years — beginning as a tutor at the University of Illinois Chicago (UIC) College of Dentistry and, most recently, a professor at UCSF School of Dentistry. He also serves on the leadership council of the San Mateo County Dental Society.
He named the practice after the Deccan Plateau of southern India, where he spent much of his childhood.
