Porcelain Veneers
Thin, custom porcelain shells that transform the shape, color and alignment of your front teeth.
A made-to-measure smile
Porcelain veneers are ultra-thin, custom-crafted shells bonded to the front of your teeth. They correct discoloration, chips, small gaps, and worn or uneven teeth, creating a natural, durable, brighter smile.
Because they’re designed to your face and proportions, the result looks like your best natural teeth, not a set of “fake” ones.

Veneers designed around your face
Porcelain veneers are thin shells bonded to the front of your teeth to change their shape, color or alignment. They are a common way to close a small gap, cover a chip or a stain, or even out a smile without more involved work.
Good veneers are as much about design as dentistry. We take time to plan the shape and shade so the result suits your face instead of looking like a row of identical teeth, and where it helps we can show you a preview before anything is prepared. This kind of careful cosmetic work is a large part of what we do here in San Mateo.
Frequently asked
How long do veneers last?+
With good care, porcelain veneers typically last 10–15 years or more.
Will they look natural?+
Yes, porcelain mimics the translucency of enamel, and each set is designed to suit your smile and face.
Veneers or bonding, which is right?+
Bonding is a quicker, lower-cost fix for small changes; veneers are more durable and transformative. We’ll help you choose.
Do veneers damage my teeth?+
A very thin layer of enamel is prepared so the veneer sits flush. It’s a conservative, well-established procedure.
How many veneers will I need?+
It depends on your smile line, some people do two, others six to eight across the teeth that show. We’ll plan it with you.
Is getting veneers reversible?
Traditional veneers involve removing a thin layer of enamel, so they are considered permanent. We talk that through with you first, and in some cases a more conservative option like bonding makes sense instead.
How do I take care of veneers?
Brush and floss as usual and keep up your checkups. Avoid using your teeth as tools, and if you grind at night, a guard protects both your veneers and your natural teeth.
